"He's been there my whole life," Jolie (here at age 4) has raved of her brother James. "We've been through everything together and he's been so supportive of everything I've done. He's the one person who I always look to tell me everything's OK. He's a rock."


Jolie (here at age 13) hit the red carpet with father Jon Voight and her brother James. "We don't really have a relationship, but we're in contact and wish each other well," the actress told Vanity Fair of her and Voight.

The 20-year-old wed Hackers costar Jonny Lee Miller in 1996, a year after the film's release. She wore black leather pants and a white t-shirt with his name written in blood for the occasion. They soon separated and divorced. "I'll always love him, we were simply too young," Jolie has said.

Jolie nabbed the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for role as a mental patient in the drama Girl Interrupted.
"I am so in love with my brother right now!" Jolie gushed before smooching him at the Vanity Fair party after her Oscar win for Girl Interrupted.


The 5-foot-7 star - who has said she was "always a tomboy as a kid and liked to run around" - did most of her own stunts (including jet skiing and sky-diving onto a moving vehicle) for Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life.

Jolie had a Bengal tiger tattooed to her lower back. "Usually all my tattoos came at good times," she has said. "A tattoo is something permanent when you've made a self-discovery, or something you've come to a conclusion about."

The Goodwill Ambassador played with Afghan children during her visit to a refugee camp in Peshawar, Pakistan


Girls' day in France! Jolie took daughters Shiloh, 2, and Zahara, 3, shopping in Monaco sans daddy and sons Maddox, 6, and Pax, 4. "My children are starting to speak French, so being here is very good for them and their language," Jolie explained.

Jolie, pregnant with twins, joined Pitt on the red carpet for the premiere of her flick Kung Fu Panda in Cannes. "I'm feeling great, thank you very much," she told Us.
